Why does my yorkie puppy yawn then "chatter" his teeth?

my yorkie puppy of about 6months yawns and then chatters his teeth as he is finishing his yawn (almost as if his jaw is loose kinda but not really) and continues to chatter them (like when ppl are cold) then starts to rub the sides of his mouth with his paws. He does this very often. I don't know whats going on bc he has never done this before. He's not in pain just some discomfort i think. Please any info can help me out. thanks beforehand.

Why does my yorkie puppy yawn then "chatter" his teeth?
Is he teething??

Chattering isn't a normal reaction to teething in Dobermans, Yorkie's I don't know.. It's possible because they feel kinda crappy sometimes that the chattering is due to feeling a little sick, a little feverish.. or a tooth that is loose and in the way.. Readjusting the mouth in order to get it closed around a loose tooth..
Reply:teething throw out some rawhides for him
Reply:It's not commonly seen that I am aware of, but I have two dogs and when they get a good scent of something they like (and it can vary what that is ) they look like their mouth quivers like you relayed. Not after yawning..so I couldn't say that is the same reason, not if he does that every time.

I have two different kind of dogs as they can sniff each other after they have been outside seperately and then do this..it's gross actually and it is discouraged when that has happened.
Reply:When i yawn i get the chills so maybe because of his size he actually shivers %26amp; chatters his teeth.
