My 5 Months old puppy just lost one of her teeth. this is normal right?

she started licking her mouth and one tooth just popped out. I heard this is normal for puppies and that most of the time they swallow loose teeth?

yes this is completely normal as the baby or deciduous teeth are being lost to be replaced by the adult canine teeth.And yes most of the time the puppy will swallow the teeth (no harm done).And no they do not have three sets of teeth just the baby and adult sets.

Reply:check with your vet to be sure but yes it's normal - they are just like us in that they loose baby teeth
Reply:It's normal. I liked it when my puppies lost their teeth. Made me feel proud or something. Very silly, I know. With the girls we only found a one or two, if that. And with our boy puppy I got to see them come out too. He probably only swallowed like one. It isn't at all harmful to them I think.
