A brachy breed puppy that is TOO undershot at 7 months. Teeth show in the centre a TINY bit. Will it improve?

Will a puppy who is 1/2 inch undershot at 7 months improve? A female pup, head is still not mature size. Not horrible, but you can see the teeth in the centre a very tiny bit most of the time. Nose is very laid back, face is in fact concave. What are the chances it will improve with age, or will it get worse?

Well, 7 months is very nearly full grown.

I don't think it will change all that much.
Reply:1/2 an inch is a lot for an undershot @ 7 months. I see the chances of imrovement pretty slim.
Reply:We had these issues with our Pugs. One had to have a plastic plate insert put in, as his bite was so far out of whack. The others bite wasn't perfect either, but not as severe. These issues were discovered at 4 months and neither improved with maturity. Check with your vet and get a professional opinion. Well worth the money to insure they aren't in pain and can eat properly!
Reply:Was she poorly bred? It sure sounds so. I feel bad for the dear. I doubt she'll ever be "normal", just love her for her special gift. Also, maybe soft food and gentle guidance for her soul.
Reply:Depends on the breed and the lines in the breed... you need to ask the breeder as they will be able to give you a better idea. If it is a slow maturing breed out of slow maturing lines it could correct itself but if it is a small breed that matures quickly and is out of fast maturing lines then it likely won't. The breeder would know best and if you got it for a show/breed potential then if it doesn't correct itself, the breeder should have stipulations for that.
Reply:I had a little snaggle toothed Shih Tzu, but 1/2 inch is quite a bit. Do they make doggie braces, LOL!
