My puppy's teeth are falling out???

hes about 4months now..and well his two "fangs" or whatever they are called (those two teeth that stick out of the bottom of the mouth) anyway....i think its from his chew toys but im not sure. so i took away the ones he was playing with the most when the incidents happened. i havent noticed anymore gone, but will he be okay? and i have another question.....lately he has slowed down on his eating and drinking....should he be okay?

My puppy's teeth are falling out???
Like a baby, your dog is loosing his baby teeth. His second, permanant set will come in. If I were you I'd give him his toys back. As long as he is eating %26amp; drinking he will be fine. Be sure to have water supplied to him 24/7. Enjoy your baby!!!
Reply:Puppies do loose "baby" teeth. As long as he still seems ok otherwise it's not unusual to find a few puppy teeth around chew toys
Reply:Dogs have baby teeth just like people - it's completely normal !
Reply:well dogs do grow adult teeth but it's good that you took those chew toys away, and when you notice something unusual about your dog exspecially eating habits you need to talk to your vet and have the puppy looked at
Reply:Yeah he'll be okay.. Remember when you were reading the book ' so you bought a new puppy eh ? ' well think back to teething.. He is losing his teeth and growing his adult teeth.. They start teething approx 14-16 weeks of age and lose their puppy and gain their adult teeth..

Yeah he will slow down on eating and drinking, it hurts! Give him lots to chew so he doesn't chew everything in your house.
Reply:Dont worry this always happens at that age dont worry. Put them under your dogs pillow with a flavored bone or treat it would be a good suprise from the tooth fairy.
Reply:hes fine, just like humans, puppies lose their teeth, usually around 4 to 6 months, his new ones (permanent) teeth will be in very quickly.
Reply:All puppies lose their teeth just like we do. You should give him back the chew toys, they help the teething process. When a puppy or baby grows new teeth there may be some discomfort and cause them to not eat well. If your real worried take him to the vet.
Reply:I dont know exactly which teeth are supposed to fall out but puppies are supposed to lose them and the time frame seems right to me. My mastiff lost his too around that time and actually came up to me all slow and timid one day and spit one out with some blood very slowly in my hand as if he was saying " hey, what should I do with this?" lol. So dont worry!
Reply:Puppies have baby teeth, just like people. It is normal to lose his baby teeth at about 4 -5 months. Everything is on schedule.

He may be a little upset, not eating much, because he is teething. He may forget some of the training ... but be persistent. This will be over in about a month. When he is five months old, he will be about 50% of his adult weight.

Also, you might have to re-do his bite inhibition training, now that he will have adult teeth...
Reply:Oh dear.

The "fangs" are called the "canine teeth" in human beings too. Can you guess why?

You lost all your milk teeth when you were about 6-7 years old, we all did. So do all dogs, and then the permanent (adult) teeth come through.

Have you got no parents who can answer such basic questions?

Hang on ...... You are pulling our legs, huh?

Reply:my dog lost 3 teeth and i did the same thing but i learned that it was ok
Reply:It's completely normal for your puppy to be losing its teeth. Has he been playing with his chew toys a lot? If he has, its probabaly cuz hes teething. And about the slowing down on eating and drinking, u shuld take him to a vet. Good Luck!!!
Reply:don't worry about it when my dog was a puppy he lost some teeth too and my mom ask the vet about it and they said it was normal for puppy's and your dog proberly isn't wanting to eat as much because it might hurt since he just lost his teeth.

hope this helped! =)
Reply:puppies lose baby teeth just like humans do, by the time he is 6 months old, most of his adult teeth should be in. as for the slowing down on the eating, he is getting older and won't need to eat as much as a younger pup.
Reply:All puppies go through growth spurts. The 1st one you just experienced was from 2-4 months of age where he ate constantly and slept alot. He is still growing now but not as fast. The 2nd growth spurt occurs in most dogs between 8-10 months of age. Then it will have most of it's height. And yes, they do lose puppy teeth and their mouth hurts. As a groomer, we have to be careful on babies how we hold their faces as it can be a painful time in their lives.
Reply:he will be ok. and i apologize for bad typing, my dog is layong on one of my arms, lol. anyway, they loose their baby teeth just likde we do.
Reply:Dogs have baby teeth which fall out - perfectly normal. Maybe he has slowed down on eating due to weather changes (heat). As long as he is drinking and not getting dehydrated he should be ok. But if your still concerned, give your vet a call, should be able to answer questions over the phone without requiring a vist %26amp; payment. Best of luck.
Reply:Puppy teeth are like human baby teeth in that they fall out. There is nothing to worry about. Make sure that they have plenty of stuff to chew on as they are going through a teething phase. His mouth is probably just hurting. Keep him comfortable and best wishes!
Reply:all puppies and kittens loose their deciduous(puppy teeth) at about 4 months old. Adult (permanant) teeth will come in (just like in humans). Your pups teeth and gums are probably sore that is why he isn't eating as much. If the problem persists contact your vet
Reply:take your puppy to the vet i dont think thats normal just saying
Reply:He is just losing his baby teeth, he'll be fine in awhile. When my dog was teething I always seemed to find those sharp little puppy teeth on the carpet with my bare feet. If his mouth hurts take an old washcloth and get it wet then freeze it. Give it to him and it is like a teething ring for dogs.
