Nothing, puppies lose their teeth as they grow and get adult teeth like kids do. I doubt that a vet would give a puppy a filling on a tooth that will be gone soon.
What to do if a puppy chips his teeth?
He'll be fine - if he's a puppy, he'll lose the tooth anyways and replace it with his adult, unchipped, tooth.
Reply:o he willd be ok, hes gonna loose it anyway
Reply:No worries, you don't mention how old he is, but he will start loosing his teeth around 7-8 months, and start getting his adult teeth. Puppy teeth are softer and more inclined to such damage.
Reply:nothing -- he's fine. It'll fall out. The new, Adult tooth won't be chipped.
How did he chip it? If it was something that could've/did hurt him, try to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Oh -- if it's bleeding, or he's whining, I would suggest taking him into the vet or at least calling them and telling them the symptoms.
Otherwise, if he doesn't seem to be hurting -- it's fine.
Reply:unless it affected his/her gums, I dont think it really matters, because like real babies, they lose their first set of teeth.
Reply:It's Ok, if a puppy chips their tooth. As they grow they lose their teeth just like a human baby and they get adult teeth.
