Are puppy's supposed to loose teeth?

My 5 month old puppy was playing one day and i seen blood on one of her puppy toys. so when i opened her mouth one of her k9 tooth was loose, she didn't seem to be any pain she was still playing and bitting her toys. Yesterday when i was sitting on the couch she came and spit the tooth out in front of me. i was looking in her mouth and it looks like a new tooth is growing. is this normal?

Are puppy's supposed to loose teeth?
Sure is and at 5 months old, she's nearly old enough to be spayed - call your vet.

Reply:Yep, just like humans loose their teeth dogs do as well.
Reply:Yes they are just like kids just faster at growing. There is nothing to worry about unless you get an excessive ammount of bleeding or prolonged bleeding.
Reply:Yes the same thing happened to my puppy. A lot of the times you don't see it because the puppy ends up swallowing it.
Reply:Yes, it's normal for them to lose their puppy teeth, like us.

In a few months, you can spay her, too!
Reply:Yes they do, it's perfectly normal! They lose their baby teeth in order to make room for their permanent teeth to come in, just like we do when we are babies.
