When I got my puppy 3 weeks ago I was told she was 8-9 weeks old...BUT....she is already losing her teeth...?

does this sound right?

Do dogs lose their teeth at 11-12 weeks? I am a bad mommy and can't remember when her big sister lost hers...but I don't remember her being this young.

She has only lost her bottom ones in the front (not her incisors/K9) and only one on the top.

Usually it starts around 4 months (16 weeks), but the order in which you say they are falling out, is normal. I wouldn't worry about it, if her teeth and gums generally look healthy. Its possible you were lied to when you got her, or she's just losing them a bit early.

Are you taking her for a round of vaccinations soon? Maybe have the vet take a look next time you're in, see what they think. Good luck with the pup!
Reply:Depending on the dog they can loose them earlier or later, just like children, they all don't stop and start at the same age. Nothing to be concerned about :)
Reply:sounds right to me , thats when our min poodle lost hers!
Reply:i dont know a lot about dogs but go on the internet and see how old they loose there teeth
